ALCOHOL IN SWEDENIn Sweden the sale of alcohol (except in bars) are done solely at "Systembolaget", a governmental monopoly
At supermarkets you can buy cider and beer containing alcohol up to 3,5%, but if you want something stronger you need to go to a bar or visit the swedish monopoly called "Systembolaget". Drinking alcohol in parks and public places is not allowed and if you do you can get your booze confiscated.To buy any alcohol in a bar, you need to be of 18 years of age or more. To shop at Systembolaget, you need to be at least 20 years. In Vaxjo there are three different Systembolaget-shops. Click on any of them to view a map. Samarkand - 6 km from the train station (bus number 3 or sometimes 4) Oxtorget - 500 m from the train station Teatertorget - 500 m from the train station Cheers! Or as we say in swedish: Skål! |
