KRONOBERG CASTLE RUINSThe Kronoberg castle ruins are among the best preserved renaissance ruins in Sweden, situated on a tiny coastal island in lake Helgasjön near the residential area Hovshaga, and the beach and recreational area Evedal.The ruins are under care of Smålands museum, and are open daily during the summer months. There is also a cafee that serves homemade pastry and ice-cream, and kronoberg is also the docks to a small steam boat called "Thor". 
 Opening hours: 1 May - 31 May only saturdays and sundays 11am - 6pm 1 June - 31 August 11am - 6pm Entrance fee: Adults 20 SEK, children and students 0-19 years free entrance |
